Mount Tambora Trekking Tour Guide Information

West Nusa Tenggara’s Dompu and Bima districts are home to Mount Tambora. Other than Mount Rinjani, one of the most popular options is Mount Tambora.

On Mount Tambora, there are four designated hiking trails. The Pancasila, Doro Ncanga, Oi Marai, and Piong routes are the four climbing routes. Just so you know, the Piong and Oi Marai routes are in the Bima Regency, whereas the Pancasila and Doro Ncanga routes are in the Dompu Regency.

Each of the four has its own special qualities and challenges in the field. View the following evaluations of trekking routes in Mount Tambora:1. The Path of Pancasila
The Pancasila Village, Pekat District, Dompu Regency is home to the Pancasila Climbing Route. Because it requires three days and two nights of climbing over quite challenging terrain, this way is the major route that climbers most frequently take.

Furthermore, only the Pancasila route contains summits that are inaccessible from other routes. The Pancasila trail is the most well-traveled path for this reason.

The Pancasila path provides the feel of a route that delves deeper into the forest vegetation, passing through resident coffee farms as tropical woodlands. It is the only route with a summit and can be completed in three days and two nights with five posts.

2. Route of Doro Ncanga
The second line in the Dompu Regency area is the Doro Ncanga route. The Padang Savana region is where this trail is accessible. This path is an off-road route that 4×4 automobiles and trail vehicles can take; it is an optional route. This approach only requires two days of travel time.

Off-road travel is available on the Doro Ncaga path in Sori Tatanga Village. There are also five posts along this route. Only post three is accessible by car; to reach the summit, one must trek for around two hours after that.

3. Oi Marai Route (Bidadari Waterfall)
The Oi Marai route is a trekking route, this route is in Kawinda Toi Village, Pancasila District, Bima Regency. On this route there is a view of Angel Waterfall where the water continues to flow without stopping and the discharge does not decrease.

This path, climbers can go through it in just 3 days and 2 nights to reach the top. There are 5 resting posts. After descending from the summit, climbers can enjoy waterfalls with a million rides such as flying fox, rafting and river tubing.

The Oi Marai route is in the natural tourist area of Bidadari Waterfall, in Kawinda Toi Village, Tambora District.

4. Piong Trek Route
The Piong route is an alternative route for climbers who want to see the top of Mount Tambora. The route, which is located in Piong Village, Sanggar District, Bima Regency, is an off-road route that can be traversed up to post five and takes about an hour to walk to the top of the peak.

In addition, the Piong Route has fairly easy terrain because it is at a low point in the southern region of Mount Tambora. It only takes 1 day to be able to enjoy the peak of Tambora via this route.

The Piong route is the same as the Doro Ncanga route, both are off-road routes, only the terrain and access or travel time are different.
